As mentioned from a past article, I’ve been spending the past few months figuring out what I wanted to have as my next major music equipment.  With the money I got from the holidays (btw thank you, everyone!), I decided a few months ago to get a Morgan Monroe M-30.  However, that didn’t work out too well, so I returned it.  It was a fantastic  looking guitar (nothing like it), but it was not something I was feeling.

I realized that I was done fooling around with virtual amplification, so I went to get the real thing.  This is what I got in the mail:

This is a Ted Weber 6A40 amplifier kit, most commonly referred to as the Fender Super Reverb.  It arrived at my place this afternoon, and I’ll be building this over the spring break.  I hope to log my amplifier build as I go.

I won’t be able to start the build until I head back north, but here is the bill of materials that I’ll be faced with:

The great thing about this list is that I got a free footswitch!  I never expected that to be in the contents (it’s not even checked off by them on the bill!) so I’m glad to have it around.

I’m so eager to start this build already.  I will hopefully post some more pictures of my little big project with my brother’s Canon DSLR early next week.

In the meantime, I need to load up on some TV shows and movies that I’ve been missing.  Anyone recommend anything to watch?
